I just completed an eSIM swap on my new phone. Everything looked good during setup, but now I can’t make any calls. Data seems okay, but calling fails every time I try. Is this a normal delay or is something wrong?
Hey @pocitin Yes this can be normal temporarily right after a new eSIM activation. Don’t worry it’s usually a minor delay or setting issue. Here’s why it happens and what you can do to resolve it quickly.
Possible Reasons and Solutions
1. eSIM Activation Is Still in Progress
After scanning the QR code, it can take 5–15 minutes for your eSIM to fully activate.
What to Do:
- Wait a few minutes
- Then restart your phone
2. No Network Signal or Improper Profile Installation
Your eSIM line might not have been set as the default or may not have installed correctly.
What to Do:
- Go to Settings > Mobile/Cellular > eSIM Line
- Ensure it is enabled
- Set it as the default line for calls and data
- Toggle Airplane Mode ON and OFF
- Restart your device
3. Your Number Is Not Yet Fully Provisioned
Sometimes the number may still be syncing with the network even after activation.
What to Do:
- If calling still doesn’t work after 30 minutes, contact support.
4. International Roaming or Unsupported Region
Infimobile does not support international roaming. If you’re trying to use your eSIM outside of the U.S., services like calling and texting will not work.

I had the exact same issue after doing an eSIM swap to my new phone — data worked fine, but calls kept failing.
I contacted Infimobile support and they told me this can happen if the voice network settings didn’t latch properly during activation.
Here’s what fixed it for me:
-
Restarted the phone
-
Made sure VoLTE was enabled in my settings
-
Waited about 15–20 minutes after the swap — it took a bit for the system to fully sync
If it still doesn’t work after that, support might need to push a refresh or re-send the eSIM.
