I want to bring my own phone to Infimobile, but I’m not sure if it’s unlocked.
Is there a way to check before I order a SIM or activate a plan?
I was in the same boat — had a phone I wanted to use but wasn’t sure if it was unlocked.
I contacted Infimobile support, and here’s what they said:
The easiest way to check is to try a SIM card from another carrier (if you have one). If it connects, your phone is likely unlocked.
On iPhone: Go to Settings > General > About → scroll to “Carrier Lock”
→ If it says “No SIM restrictions”, your phone is unlocked
On Android: It’s a bit trickier, but you can try checking under Network > Mobile Networks > Network Operators and see if you can manually scan for other networks
If you’re unsure, just give support your IMEI, and they’ll help check compatibility too.
